There is a particular kind of frustration that comes with having something important to say and no platform to say it on. For the members of Tau Gamma Phi fraternity and Tau Gamma Sigma sorority — that frustration has quietly simmered for years. Discussions that mattered, issues that deserved attention, and stories worth telling were scattered across private group chats, chapter meetings, and informal gatherings. That changes now.
Triskelion Social, a dedicated podcast network platform for the Triskelion community, is set to launch next month — and it carries with it not just ambition, but history.
From the Ashes of Inform and Orient
The story of Triskelion Social does not begin with a podcast. It begins with an idea that was perhaps ahead of its time.
Inform and Orient was conceived as a digital news magazine for Tau Gamma Phi — a structured, editorial-driven publication that would keep members informed and engaged with fraternity affairs. It was a worthy endeavor, but it never fully found its footing. The format was limiting, the production demands were steep, and the audience it sought to serve did not receive the traction it was hoping to get toward audio and on-demand content.
Rather than abandon the spirit of the project, it sat idle for a few years as I looked at other options and one was to evolve it. The commitment to information and intellectual engagement survived. The medium did not.
What emerged from that rethinking is Triskelion Social — a podcast network that preserves everything Inform and Orient set out to achieve, and delivers it in a format that meets Triskelion members wherever they are: on their commute, at the gym, between meetings, or halfway across the world.
The Team Behind the Vision
The initiative is spearheaded by Marty, the current head of the National Judicial Council, whose involvement signals something significant from the outset. This is not a peripheral project — it has the weight and credibility of national leadership behind it. Supporting the effort are Mike, Don, and Oliver, officers of the National Executive Council, whose institutional knowledge and organizational reach will be critical in bringing the network to scale.
Together, they represent a rare alignment of vision and authority. The message to the broader Triskelion community is clear: this is not a passion project running on good intentions alone. It is a structured, leadership-backed endeavor with the infrastructure to last.
A Platform for Intellectual Discourse
At its core, Triskelion Social is built around a deceptively simple but powerful idea — that the Triskelion community deserves a space for serious conversation.
Not gossip. Not announcements. Not ceremonial speeches repurposed as content. Real intellectual discourse on the matters that shape the fraternity and sorority: governance, legacy, professional life, advocacy, and the evolving identity of what it means to be a Triskelion in today’s world.
The network will serve both Tau Gamma Phi fraternity and Tau Gamma Sigma sorority, recognizing that the community’s conversations are richer and more complete when both voices are in the room. Issues affecting the fraternity rarely exist in isolation from those affecting the sorority, and Triskelion Social is designed to reflect that reality.
